Why Don’t People Comment on Other People’s Blog Comments?
I’ve wondered this subconsciously for quite some time now but never actually formed the question: Why do people so very rarely strike up conversations with other respondents in the comments section of blogs?
Is it because we don’t feel it’s our place? Is it because we feel like we’d be taking something away from the blog owner? I think as a commenter we would all like for another person reply to our response, yet it very rarely- if ever happens.
I think the comments section of blogs is a natural place to meet and interact with others. For the record, feel free to strike up conversations with other commenters on this blog. If the conversation wanders off topic, all the better.
Last Week’s Comments Contest Winner
Speaking of comments, It’s time to announce the winner of last week’s comments contest. Today, ERIN is $50 richer just for sharing her ideas in discussions. Perhaps she will use it toward marketing her new product Durtbaz or just to have some fun. Congratulations Erin!
This Week’s Comment’s Contest Prize
The Success Principles; How to Get from Where You Are to Where You Want to Be.
This is one of my all-time favorite books. Author Jack Canfield knows a lot about success. He was the co-creator of the mega-selling Chicken Soup for the Soul Series. Throughout the book, he offers real stories and strategies that led him to this extreme level of success along with many other bits of enlightening wisdom. I’ve read a lot of success books, but this one struck me as different and I hope you’ll enjoy it!
What Do You Think?
Do you make a habit of responding to other commenter’s comments? Why do you think that most people don’t do this? Is this a practice that should be avoided or embraced?
