3 Quotes and Some Bonus Information to Help YOU!
“You can have everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want.” Zig Ziglar
It’s easy to think that it is all about me. Singing the old warm up tune me,me,me,me,me. However, it’s really about helping others. Find a need and fill it… That’s what Bill Gates did. He’s got a few bucks. Well, what about on a smaller scale.
I spoke with Nate Whitehill by phone Wednesday night and he thanked me for all the support that we have given him. I’m more than happy to give support to a 23 year old go getter like Nate. I’m 40 and hope that I can inspire those nearly half my age who have the desire to be an entrepreneur.
“If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten.” Anthony Robbins
Change! That’s what comes to mind when I read this. You have to get out of old habits, excuses and sometimes just outright laziness. If you want different results, do something different. I’m sure you know people just like I do who constantly say things like.. “I hate my job.” (Get a NEW one) “I need to lose weight.” (Stop stuffing potato chips in your mouth while watching 4 hours of TV) You get the point. We all know people like this. Don’t let yourself fall into this trap.
“It’s never to late to be what you might have been.” George Eliot
I really love this one. Ray Kroc started McDonald’s at 52. Oh, it’s true Dick and Mac McDonald had one location in California, but Ray Kroc was the innovator. He was the one who had the vision and took action at age 52. What about the man who got his first social security check for $105 at age 65 and decided to do something about it? You all know him as the Colonel with KFC. Most of you reading this are well under 40. Even if you are 65 or older, re-read the quote and think of Ray at 52 and the Colonel at 65.
Bonus: I have a homework assignment for you. George Eliot is a woman. Do you know why she changed her name to a mans name?
Daily Quote – August 23rd – Bill Gates
I think it’s fair to say that personal computers have become the most empowering tool we’ve ever created. They’re tools of communication, they’re tools of creativity, and they can be shaped by their user. Bill Gates
