3 kinds of blogs that attract readers

Blogging is beneficial for a number of reasons. And when we stop to think about the various kinds of blogs that are out there, there are several different ‘types’ of categories that most blogs fall into. The following are just three that appeal to most readers:

1. How-To- These are the blog posts in which you show or explain to readers how to do something. Typically (though not always), these posts will include a link to a video so that readers can have a visual aid along with the text to help explain something better. Also, a well-written ‘how-to’ article will post defined steps on how to do whatever the activity so that it is easier for readers to follow.
2. Opinion-These are perhaps the most popular kinds of blog posts. Everyone, it seems, has an opinion and wants to get their two cents in. Usually, opinion articles center around a particular trend or issue. For example, if a brand new cell phone came out, you might write an opinion piece on it. Don’t be fooled though. While it may sound easy, most well-written opinion pieces involve quite a bit of preparation and thought.
3. Product reviews-Product reviews are a great type of blog post to draw in readers. Particularly depending on the niche that you are working within, chances are fairly good that you already know what sorts of products your audience is using or would be interested in. Therefore, why not write something about one of those products? Typically, a good product review piece will include a general description of the product (or service), a photo of the product (or a video0, your own personal thoughts on why the product does or doesn’t work, who benefits from the product and alternatives to the product.
