An Online Business Opportunity that Has Really Caught My Interest…
I’m incredibly skeptical when it comes to buying into “money making†opportunities online. I don’t often believe what I read on the internet on those classic one-page websites that you have to scroll through in order to get to the hook.
But I do listen when someone that I know and trust tells me about an opportunity. And that’s what happened this weekend. It’s not something for everyone – but for those that have knowledge of blogging and bringing traffic to a site, this looks like a really cool opportunity.
You may have noticed the banner in the right column of this blog for an opportunity to start your own travel company. This is an opportunity that David and Fred, (cofounders of this blog) have recently taken and so far have been very happy with.
Essentially, with this opportunity, you get to rebrand your own fully featured travel website. It has the bells and whistles and advanced search functionality that you find on any high quality travel website. Here’s an example of the travel booking website. You can also help other people get into the business and earn commissions. To sell this opportunity to others, you get a website to rebrand like this one.
My First Thought…
My first thought was – yeah, but there are so many other travel websites out there… how would mine ever stand out! Well, this is how I see it. If you choose a NICHE that you’re interested in such as traveling with kids, mountain hiking trips, European walking adventures – whatever, and create a blog around this topic, it will be much easier to get noticed by your target audience.
David is doing this very experiment with a travel blog – If you’re curious about this opportunity and how it progresses, I’d suggest subscribing to this blog to see how it progresses.
My Second Thought…
My second thought was… ok, even if this were possible, wouldn’t people just read the blog and then go book with Orbitz or another big name site? How many times have you read a blog or a website offering a product, became interested, and then went straight to Amazon to find it at the cheapest price?
The Clincher…
Well here’s the clincher. This weekend I had a real need to look into airfare from Amsterdam to LA. I instinctively went to Orbitz where I discovered the tickets were around $1400! I then remembered David’s website and figured, well if I’m going to spend money, I may as well book through his site. I did the same search and found a ticket for $659. No joke. And that’s when I was sold.
If you’re interested in the opportunity, David is giving away a 128 color magazine with a bunch of information about how it works. And if you do decide to go for it, he’s also offering free internet marketing advice and strategies to help you with promotion.
The only other online business I’ve invested in was a reseller plan with GoDaddy and I’ve consistently made about 12 times what I invested each year for the past 2 years. It’s certainly not enough to retire on, but I’m not doing one thing any longer to generate that income every single month. That’s how I know that the right opportunities can work.

Comments Contest Winner
This week’s weekly winner is Joe Justin of Arsenal Marketing! Joe has won a copy of the book “The Aladdin Factor†by one of my favorite authors, Jack Canfield. Congrats Joe!
We’re making some changes to the comments contest – instead of a giveaway ever week, we’re going to do a giveaway every month. Everything we do here is an experiment and we always promise to share the results of those experiments to give you ideas for your blog marketing. What I’ve found is that a contest doesn’t necessarily drive comments.
What really drives comments is responding to comments! I’ve been so busy this week that I committed one of my own cardinal sins and didn’t respond to comments regularly as usual. As a result, comments dried up. Plus, sending something out every week has proven very time consuming! But we still like giving stuff away so we’re changing the contest to a monthly contest. ![]()

I generally like sticking to businesses I create myself. Maybe I’m jaded, but I hardly trust any other business or venture opportunity out there. But who knows, it could be good! If your buddies are making money at it, then why can’t you!?
I just wanted to let you know that I was unaware that there was a comment contest. I only responded to your article because of the great content! Thanks a lot for making me a winner!
