Who Do You Know That is Where You Ultimately Want to Be? – Need Your Ideas!

WhyIt won’t take you long to think about this… who do you know personally right now that is where you want to ultimately be? If the answer is no one, you’ve GOT to make a conscious effort to meet that person! Otherwise, how will you ever get there? Chances are you’ve achieved to the level or on track for achieving the level of success that you desire to the point that you have experienced personally.

Keep in mind that this doesn’t mean financially. If you are an entrepreneur and you making $75,000 per year and know a CEO making $250,000 per year, this is different. Since your philosophies on earning income aren’t the same, you won’t gain as much from this type of relationship. But if you were to really know an entrepreneur who was making $1 million a year and understand how they think, how they take risks, how they prioritize, etc, how much would this help you achieve your financial goals?

The trouble is finding someone…

Sounds simple in theory, but how do you go about finding someone who has achieved what you wish to achieve and then get to know them? This is a puzzle that I am working on right now and want your ideas.

Need Your Ideas!

What are your ideas for connecting with someone that is in a position that you want to be? Let’s assume that some of the people you want to meet are not writing blogs or participating in social networking communities.  If you’re currently living in a completely different world from those that are ultra-successful, how do you find them? How do you connect? What has worked for you?

I hope that this question will get you thinking about how you can find your own mentor as well as help others to do the same.  :D

  1. I think one main problem is that when I meet someone who is where I want to be professionally, many times they turn out to be the *opposite* of who I want to be personally. Maybe that’s just me, but it happens more often than not.

  2. Thanks for sharing Same - that is a very good point! I think what I learned from this blog post was something amazing… First, there is no “one way” to connect with the right people.

But more importantly, this post confirmed the idea that you manifesting that which you ask for. Later this afternoon, I ended up on the phone with someone who was exactly where I wanted to be, asking them precisely how they did it. Wow!

  3. So networking in other words. Vital stuff with the right people.
