The Remote Working Transition

As millennial workers enter the workplace,we have seen a shift in office life from more workers wanting to climb the ladder quickly to a quirky design equipped with beanbags and ping-pong table. Training Employees

When new employees enter the business it can take them a while to understand your processes and learn about company policies and this is still true for remote workers. Although, away from the premises your company values still need to be at the heart of their work, below are a few ways you can ensure a clear message is communicated to all employees:

  1. Create a fool proof manual that is housed on a shared drive for all to access;
  2. Develop training videos for any processes that need guidance – ensure contact details for relevant staff are provided in case more help is needed;
  3. If it is possible have them come into the office for a two day training session;
  4. Work with professional channel such as Google Hangouts or Skype so that communication is still possible.

Setting Workloads

Conducting Reviews

Even when working away from the office, employees still want to progress and be rewarded for good work, therefore regular reviews should be conducted. These should include an employee progress report, SMART targets, and acknowledgment of strengths.

When setting rewards there are plenty of employee reward schemes that businesses can make use of these may offer things like; discount vouchers, salary schemes, and health benefits.
