You’ve probably heard the saying “Content is King”. Or perhaps you heard the somewhat more correct saying: “Quality content is King”.

Writing and/or creating good content for your website does not have to be difficult. Here are tips that outline how to create top quality content for your site.

1: Expertise. If possible, choose a topic for your site that you have expertise, experience, and or interest in. This will make it much easier for you to create good content.

2: Unique. Don’t use recycled content on your site. If you want to create a popular site that visitors love, you have to give them content that no other site offers. (Plus, using content that other sites also use can get you in trouble with the search engines.)

3: Easy To Read. The average web browser has a short attention span, and will click away to another site if you don’t keep his or her attention. Keep your writing interesting and engaging. Use a headline and introduction that entices the reader to read the rest of your content. You should also break up your content into smaller paragraphs – long paragraphs are intimidating to web readers.

4: Useful. You can write, unique, easy to read content, but if your content is not useful, your site won’t be very successful. When writing content for your site, try to understand what your website visitors are looking for, and write to address their needs.

If content is the King, then Expert, Unique, Easy To Read, Useful Content must be the Wildcard!
