Stumble Upon Ads, Bidvertiser PPC Ads and Traffic HELP…

Did you know that you can advertise on Stumble Upon for .05 per click?

It’s easy to get started if you already have a Stumble Upon Account. You can simply click on Create Campaign, Choose a Category, Put in your URL and Ad Funds…You’re Done!

    Hi David.
First of all thank you very much for the great tool you recommended: SEO Quake. It saves me a lot of time,

The Open Door website could still use some optimization, especially the styling and javascript included in the html code and the text embedded in images for the menu. You do not have a location associated with the content on the index. The logo is not bold enough, people do not see immediately what this site is about – and you pay lots of money to bring them here. I don’t want to speak geek on this blog but If you contact me I can give you more comments.

    Thank You,
    Chip

With that low ppc cost and targetted campaigns to specific demographics available it’s a good choice at present. It may be an effective strategy to work out a campaign for a product where you can get the conversion ratios up front. James Brausch publishes his products conversion ratios. Could do worse than start there.

Either way, while ppc is only 0.5 a click it’s worth trying it out

    Chip,

I appreciate the advice; however, I’m concerned with what will drive immediate traffic in a 2 week time frame. PPC and other forms of advertising. Any advice in that arena.

    Thanks,

    David

Try Google AdWords, publishers network(AdSense). If you choose keywords with not to much competition you will have lots of cheap clicks. However, this kind o traffic is totally unsustainable and I don’t see any benefits out of it.

Stumbleupon can send lots of visitors and on a pay per click model the cost is tremendously cheap however, I believe the cost reflects the fact that the traffic is basically curiosity seekers and not targeted consumers. In otherwise, the traffic does not convert for those selling anything other than a new feed subscriber.

Terry, I agree with you on Stumble Upon not being as targeted but for .05 per visitor, it could lead to something.

Considering you get 100 visitors for $5 compared to Adwords being 1 visitor for $5. It’s worth keeping it in the mix to see what happens.
