A Growing Community: The No Nofollow | I Follow | DoFollow Blog List

Today, we just added our “You Comment - I Follow” feature which means that we are supporters of that movement (learn more below).

I just joined this community over at BumpZee.

I love Andy Beard’s comment… “Welcome… lets merge our opinion into a collective voice and roar!!!”  That’s what true die hard bloggers do… “THEY ROAR!”

  1. Nice community.

  2. Bravo! My blog is run on the TypePad platform which does not permit a manual code change to allow link backs on comments. The only way around it is to do what I’ve done ; that is to establish a page of back-links specifically to beneift those who comment! It’s been working and I invite all other TypePad bloggers to do likewise!

  3. Welcome on board. It is a great community and it is growing. :)
I think having nofollow removed is at least one way to say thank you to people who are participating in the development of a website.

  4. Daniel you should maybe do some research before making sweeping statements ;)

A lot of work went on behind the scenes to come up with that as the complete solution, although Technorati still seem to ignore the links.

  5. Thanks Clarence.

  6. It’s a great community, defined by their actions.

It took me a while to implement the no follow plug in mainly through time management issues. But once I did I got a lot less spam than I thought.

Sure, I had the odd, “great blog” comment from someone unrelated to my industry, but were soon deleted.

  7. Awesome stuff! I also implemented this change to one of my blogs a while back.

BTW, where did you get those 3 icons - RSS, technorati, feedburner email? I’ve seen them before but can’t find the source of them!

  8. J… There is a word press plugin for them, but since Fred is a programmer, we did something a little different. They are about to be tweaked again.
