Who Said That? Friday, June 29th 2007

Who Said That?If you are new to Create Business Growth, we close out each week with our “Who Said That?,” where we give some link love to other blogs and regular websites that we feel you may find interesting. So let’s get to it!

So many of Nate’s posts are link worthy and here’s another. His post “The Right Friends Make the Difference,” is one that I think many, many success driven people will connect with on a very personal level. Even if you live by the principal of choosing your friends and associates wisely in theory, it’s important to consistently re-evaluate your situation to ensure that no ‘downers’ have crept into your life.

When a guy with 25,389 subscribers talks about how to increase your number of RSS subscribers, you listen. Darren Rowse of Problogger talks about 2 things he did to increase RSS subscribers on one of his blogs from 20,000 to 23,000 over the weekend.

FastPitch – we like to feature blogs from FastPitch members. You may know that David is a big advocate of FastPitch and has recently become a titanium member.

Marvin Vasquez is now 28 days into a blog that I think has fascinating potential. On day 27 Out of 365 Days to Becoming a Millionaire he talks candidly about a business opportunity that fell through. I’m a huge believer that being painfully open and honest is one of the best ways to connect with people. Marvin goes on to talk about how he embraces the experience as a lesson learned.

Nick Stamoulis write an exasperated post titled How To Ensure You Never Get Link Love after trying to give someone link love who made the process nearly impossible.

From our My Blog Log Community

Dave Davis at Red Fly Marketing offers a Mini Case Study called 10 Ways To Increase Your Adwords Quality Score that is certainly worth a read.

Jonathan from Smart Wealthy Rich will be launching a multi-author blog and is looking for contributing writers in a variety of areas of expertise.

From the BumpZee iFollow Community

Brian over at Home Based Business talks about The Importance Of Reader Interaction When Blogging after realizing that he was missing out big time by not allowing reader comments on his blog.

Design Adaptations has a great post about Designing for Credibility that offers solid reviews and opinions about the psychology behind different website designs and design elements and how they might affect sales.

A big thank you to all of our readers and subscribers – and to all of the bloggers out there working hard every day to publish quality content. Have a great weekend!

  4. Awesome! A great set of new posts for me to read.

  5. Just got an invite from you as we met on LinkedIn. I would very much like to learn more about RSS feeds and increasing my audience. I am blogging about two films I worked on called “Leatherheads” and “Gospel Hill”. I would like to be able to set up links to make it easy for the people who worked on each film to subcribe. Any help or suggestions from experts would be welcome. In fact, at this point, I was called last night by the casting director of Gospel Hill. He told me my blog is more informative than the official website for the movie. With a little help I might be able to have impact on the marketing of this low budget film with an all-star cast about a civil rights advocate in a Southern town.

    See you in the blogosphere.

  7. You bet Jonathan! I have no doubt that you’ll attract lots of high quality people. I can’t wait to check out your new blog!

  8. I always look forward to reading your posts Nate. You’ve got me thinking again… :)

  9. Thanks Josh - love the new look!

  10. That’s a great compliment for you Andy and the start of what sounds like what could become a very successful blog. I read on your blog that one of your goals is to become a paid speaker - you’ll definitely want to stick around. David has built a very successful paid speaking career over the years and could probably offer some valuable insight. Best of luck to you!

  11. Absolutely Dave - If anyone needs PPC advice, I would certainly recommend your blog!

  12. Thanks Christine! I also love the way you respond to EVERY comment. I think that is an essential part of a good blog.

  13. Thanks Dave :) I love hearing from readers and believe that community interaction is what blogging about!

  14. I couldn’t agree more! It adds a level of credibility to the blog and I also think that blog posters that do not do this are quite rude!

    Anyway, keep em coming.
